The Best For VideosThis is an awsome cable for videos and music, but if you want to put pictures on your tv forget about it
Great accessory for 5G iPods.I bought this as an alternative to the more expensive Apple A/V cable, and it works absolutely perfect with my iPod. Both the sound and video quality are beautiful.

Is it Sony ?Bought this tested for a day, the picture quality is awful. Recorded video had lots of grains in medium lights (even in a small room with 100 watts bulb), more yellowish even in bright (sun) light. Hoped the one I got might be bad, and exchanged for a new one. That was also the same quality. Had for a good deal (abt $200), and it is not worth for that money. Returned within hours.
Already own few Sony products (including 4 yrs old camcorder Hi8 TRV68), which are good in quality, made me think all the Sony products are awesome.
Video quality is the main thing needed in a camcorder, so rated 1.

Very happy with itWhen our 8mm stopped working that we had used for nine years, I found it overwhelming to research and find a new camera.
I knew I didn't want digital because I don't even use my digital still camera very often, other than to e-mail pictures.
I knew that I wanted another 8mm, so that we could play our tapes we have now. I didn't want to spend too much money. We received this camera a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. It even has more options than I really need. We charged the battery when we got the camera and for 2 weeks we have been filming the kids occasionally and the battery is still full. I never thought I would use the night vision, but have found it is fun to film the kids when they are asleep and I don't have to turn a light on to film. The zoom works well and the color looks good. For the price, I don't see how you could get a better camera. I don't think you could find a better analog camera even if you did spend more money. I obviously can't comment on how well it will hold up in the future, but as far as its performance now, I love it.

Wonderful idea, with good tech supportThis little device is a great invention from HP. I had problems installing the unit and was on the telephone with HP Tech support (India) for 1.75 hours, I spent very little time on hold.
The largest draw back to the unit is my computer acts like the DC4000 is not there from time to time and required me to reboot the computer in order to use this nifty device.

A+ For Those Home Movie Makers!!!!!!!!!!!!I got this HP DVD burner refurbished, actually. It was a great deal, so I thought, why not try it? It has lots of different software, which is nice. I have not had any problems with it. I love it! I have never had a DVD burner before, but I would say it burned them pretty quickly. I love that you can lay it flat, or stand it up for a space-saver.
Thanks for the memoriesI am a camcorder buff. Ever since my children were born, I have
had the camcorder attached to my hand most days because I know
that life is fleeting and memories are too precious to be lost.
I had a huge collection of video tapes and was able to transfer
the entire collection to DVD. Now I know that they will last at
least through my life time.. Also, I find that using the Showbiz
application, I can create customized DVDs for my friends and
that has saved me a ton of money in gifts..
The only problem we had with this product was that we had
limited hard disk memory and had to acquire some more.
And I have probably created more than a 100 DVDs by now.
Thanks HP!

HP dc3000 is a Great Coaster MakerMy first unit arrived nonfunctional. HP Customer Service quickly replaced it. (Thank you.) The second unit was installed May 2004 and has slowly failed more and more often to burn a disk with only moderate use. First every third dick failed. Then ever other disk failed. Then only CD-RW disks would burn. Now, NOTHING. I have tried four different brands of CD and DVD including HP. It fails between 5 and 55% of the burn by ejecting the disk saying there is an error on the disk. NUTS! HP customer service hid behind their expired warranty and wanted $140 for a replacement unit.
I am writing this only after giving HP a chance to give me a more satisfactory answer than to buy the same unit again. I believe they must have know there was a general problem considering all the negative reviews and the discontinuation of the Movie Writer line, (dc3000, dc4000, dc5000).
PS: Good luck on getting both an HP customer support person who can speak English and a proper phone connection. It took me four tries to understand the voice that was probably half a world away. I consider myself very able and willing to understand many dialects of English. The people I talked two were more related to the Muppets Swedish Chef than capable of the English language. The only native speaker I talked to was a person in "Presales"! HP bounced my call to Presales so they could pitch me to buy another one of their drives or an HP Medial Center computer. I never asked to talk to Presales. I wanted a technician. I got mumbled communications and a determined attitude to avoid HP in the future. Great printers but...
Thank you HP for making me a LiteOn buyer. Your poor product and terrible customer service sent me straight to your competition. I paid $75 for the most up-to-date DVD Burner rather than the $140 for another copy of your failed product. I can do the video capture with my video card.

Worthless junkOver the past 30 years, I've bought countless electronic items, including at least half a dozen computers. This DVD recorder from HP was one of the worst items I've ever bought (Acer gets the grand prize, but that's another story). After countless conversations with HP's customer support and endless uninstalls and reinstalls of the software, I never did get the unit to work. Finally, I've given up.
Terrible support for a poorly made device. The device would not properly be recognized by my OS half of the time. I called tech support, and they hung up on me. I wasn't even arguing with them, so I have no idea why they did that.

these tapes didn't worked for me and ruin my camerai tried them on a sony dcr-trv33, and they clogged my heads in about 10min. of recording.
the camera has worked fine for about two years now, and it's the first time i use other than sony. this camera went to the sony service center for a full cleaning/service about two months ago, and worked perfectly fine until i tried these tapes.
i read somewhere that the tapes have a surface compound that lubricates the head, and that it is incompatible between brands, clogging the tape head when the different compounds mix in it. i didn't believe it then, and stil not.
according to that, maybe they are fine and you only have to stick with the brand. and i'll do, but another one.

Works greatClogged heads are caused by mixing TDK or Sony tapes with any other brand. Their formulation is different. Don't do it. Use only TDKs or Sonys in your machine or you can mix Panasonic, Maxell, JVC, Fuji, or Canon brands together. Those brands are all the same formulation.
These JVC (I bought Japan labeled "Victor" brand) are made by Fuji and work great.

Well made, totally satisfied (and cheap too)I have used sony, panasonic and JVC brand of mini-dv tapes and I can find no difference among these brands, maybe except the price.
It is non-sense to say one DV tape offer better color/picture than the other... IT IS ALL DIGITAL!!! As long as your camcorder can write and read back the same 1 & 0 on the tape you will be just fine!
I have not try re-using tapes so I can't say how "durable" the tapes are. My opinions is one should not re-record more than 3 times on the same type, and this JVC tape should hold up to the challenge.

Small, compact, and decent protectionI bought this case for my SD300 and it has stood me in good stead ever since. The case is nicely designed, sleek, looks cool, and snugly fits the SD300. Don't go on the looks alone. Depending on how you carry it, this can be a very rugged case. I have taken my camera in this case on hiking and mountain climbing and routinely carry it in my back pocket. The case has kept the camera protected from many a scratches that would ordinarily have been there otherwise. I've even dropped the camera once or twice, but the case never failed me.
Canon ELPH Leather CaseThis is a cute little black case. My S410 4MP camera fits perfectly in this case (there is no room for anything else, so if you are looking for a camera bag which will fit all your accessories, don't buy this case).
The only down side is the big tacky gold lettering on the case. I wish they used smaller fonts in silver lettering. But it's a good case to lug your camera around in if you go on short trips.

Perfect Case for people on the go!I am a professional photographer. The Elph I have is my "play" camera. I got it because of it's size. The problem was it wasn't as convenient as I thought carrying it in my pockets. I found myself leaving it at home. SO>>>
I bought this soft leather case. It is exactly what it is supposed to be for me. A way to carry my Elph on my belt. I forget that I have it on. Until that really cool oppertunity arises. (Which, in San Francisco it does a lot)
The camera is right there at my side. Out in a second. I can take my photo and slip it back into the case with one hand.
Yes, it is a little snug when you first get it. But, this is soft leather and it "grows" with use. Fitting the camera perfectly.
It protects the camera from scratches. But, I wouldn't consider it as a protector, as much as a convenient way to wear the camera on a belt. The perfect case for people who are on the go as much as I am.
