A WASTE OF MONEY
I purchase this product for my Sony TRV33 handycam camcorder, yes the tiny and lower weight video camera in the market, and guess what happens? I use the bag as its name says "WAIST PACK" but it took only four times of use and the waist straps get rid of the main body of the bag. YES this is not a waist pack, it's a WASTE PACK. So dont buy it, unless you want to use on your shoulder.

VIDEO WAIST PACK
EXCELENTE, SUPER COMODO Y FACIL DE USAR ,LO RECOMIENDO ES LO MEJOR PARA LLEVAR LA CAMARA FILMADORA.

Very functional. Very happy.
I think I've seen every bag on the internet this year having purchased a camcorder(sony dcr-dvd403) and a camera (canon powershot sd30) that both needed cases.

I purchased the Case Logic Camcorder Waist Pack strictly for the camcorder and mostly because of its fanny pack type design. What I've found is it is just the right size for the camcorder and it's accessories. The bag can be carried, shouldered, or belted to the waist. It is slightly bigger than a typical fanny pack, but just small enough to be considered convenient. The waist belt is permenantly attached but folds nicely out of the way should you not need it and comes back easily should you do. The shoulder strap is removable by clips and folds nicely out of the way. I have it tucked into the small compartment directly under the handle (nice).

The main compartment has an adjustable divider and is a perfect fit for the 2.3" wide dcr-dvd403. Then adjust the divider and the camcorder is snug. The remainder of the main compartment leaves plenty of room for a digital camera, but mine holds a spare battery and a wide angle lens with room to spare if needed.

The expandable pocket off the main holds my a/v cable, adaptable car charger, sevral blank discs, lens cloth, and remote.

I don't think I could be happier. This case met my smaller size preference so I can take it anywhere without looking like a geek by carrying around a large cumbersome bag. It has just enough room so if we were in say...Disney, this case would be all I'd need to carry around with me while being convenient to carry and get into.

Great camera... But.
Great camera - Well thought out, good quality pictures and movies.
Everything goes on the memory stick - No moving tapes or motors to malfunction.

The only feature absent is an optical viewer (it only has the LCD screen to see what you will be filming). It's tough to frame your shot in dark, as the screen will not have the illumination until the flash lights - and then it's to late to frame your shot! Same problem for outdoor shots on bright days where the image is hard to see on screen.

This is the Camcorder to buy !!!
This is the best camcorder for it's size and price. Also no tapes makes this camcorder really great. Good still pictures as well.

The smallest and best ultracompact 3-CCD camera
I've owned the camera for 3 months now, and am very happy with it. I needed a camera tiny enough to carry in a purse, yet capable of high quality video, and this is it.
Tape-based camcorders make DV video on tape - those DV cameras make video which cannot be converted to DVD unless you go through a cumbersome operation of playing the video in the camera while at the same time "capturing" the video on a computer over a firewire cable - a process which is error-prone to say nothing of being a time hog. If you shoot 5 hours of video, getting it onto computer takes 5 more hours. On the other hand, a mpeg-based SD-card camera like this transfers its video to computer simply by inserting its SD card into your computer's card reader slot. If you use an aftermarket DVD author program like TmpgDVDauthor, you don't even have to transfer the files off the SD card - you can "drag and drop" the filenames and create a TV-viewable DVD without any hassles, directly from your card reader.
This camera is the replacement for Panasonic's still-amazing "worlds smallest true camcorder" SV-AV100. It has greatly improved low light capability, and incredible richness of color. To say nothing of its still picture capability, with pop-up flash, even.
Though the camera advertises itself as having "3.1" megapixel stills, they are actually closer in quality to a typical 2 megapixel camera. This is because the camera uses its video CCD's to make the still, with Panasonic's "pixel shift" method. You cannot compare this camera to digital still cameras which have a gigantic CCD to make their stills with - being a video camera, one should be thankful for these stills in such a small package. With care, the stills can be enlarged to 4x5 inches on quality photo paper and look very good, but 8x10 inch enlarging is overdoing it. If you want digital still camera type stills for portrait enlargements and critical still photos, get a digital still camera in addition to this camera.
The camera's 10x zoom is useable because of its excellent image stabilization. The lens mechanism adjusts itself at high speed to counteract jerky hand movements, keeping your picture sharp. This does not mean that holding the camera in shaky hands will not produce a moving picture, but the fast "quiver" that ruins videos will be gone, and the individual frames are amazingly sharp. A tripod or monopod for extreme zoom shots is still best, but the image stabilization is a marvel, even better than in the earlier camera.
There are some good still cameras which have a "video mode" which can be used to make DVD's, but none of them have all of these features: (1) 48kbps stereo sound, (2) 60-fields per second interlaced video, (3) 640x480 or larger video resolution. Most, like the often praised Casio EXP-505, have only 30fps video, which will cause a "flicker" when converted to DVD video. The interlacing, which updates at 60fps, is necessary for making fast action look smooth on your TV. Don't make the mistake of trying to use a digital still camera's "video mode" in place of a true camcorder with fully-interlaced video like this one.
Sample video and user comments are on the ad-free nonprofit site www.zyvid.com, which has the largest forum for the camera and the SV-AV100, replacing the old JackBrown forum.
Critics of the camera forget how tiny the camera is. When a camera is the smallest of its type, minor compromises are to be expected. But the excellent quality and color in its video are comparable to any consumer camcorder, even the much larger ones. It's a real marvel.

NOT A Replacement For A Sony NP-F330 or NP-F550
The technical specifications listed for this Polaroid battery show it as 3.6 volts. If 3.6 volts is correct, then this Polaroid battery is NOT a replacement or substitute for the Sony NP-F330, NP-F530, or the NP-F550 batteries. The Sony batteries are 7.2 volts.

One star because it will not work as a replacement for the Sony batteries.

Look closer, and the voltage is 7.2V just like the Sony
I feel silly rating this when I haven't used it, but neither has the other person that gave it 1 star. Amazon must have made an error in stating the voltage to be 3.6V. The tech specs list 7.2V. It's about $15 less expensive than the Sony.

I loved my Olympus C-740
I just upgraded to a digital SLR, but I had this camera for 3 years and it never let me down. It has travelled all around the world. The batteries lasted a long time, the photos were excellent (even at 3.2 MegaP) and it was a great camera for me while I was deciding whether to jump up to the SLR level or not.

Pros:
Some manual options, lets you get a feel for photography vs snapshots
Good zoom
Good battery life
Sturdy
Great photos

Cons:
Larger digital camera, so not easy to just carry around everywhere. Will not fit in a pocket.

Again. I think this camera is ideal for someone who might buy a digital SLR in a few years but is afraid to spend that much money.

Great learning camera
While a three megapixel camera may seem anemic in todays standards, the quality of pics are overlooked. I can take a quality photo at max resolution (which I beleive is plenty for any consumer or hobbiest) that looks far better than any 6 megapixel pocket camera of similar price. And try finding one with a 10x zoom! The camera can be set to fully automatic, or you can play around. There are lots of settings that can be adjusted and tweaked. Thats what makes this a great learning camera. And with the beauty of digital, when you screw up you just delete it.

C740 Wow, What Nice Pics!
I printed my first set of pictures from a recent vacation, and WOW, these are some of the sharpest pictures I have EVER seen, easily better than anything my manual, 35mm Minolta and Pentax SLRs ever produced. I was a little concerned about the bulkiness and was considering upgrading to something smaller, but after talking to one of the camera experts at Penn Camera, I'm convinced this is probably the best choice out there for a smallish 10x. In simple terms, he explained that the smaller cameras have less glass and therefore are just incapable of the sharpness this little baby can produce. He lost a sale, but gained a customer. Megapixels are irrelevant if the image coming through is not sharp, so the 3MP this camera has is fine for prints up to 11x14. This thing has a myriad of features, alot more than anyone would ever need. The software is not bad either. I wish it was a bit smaller, which tempts me to drop the rating to 4, but I just can't get over how sharp these images are, so a 5 it gets!

A bit too much...
Our Canon 500 swims in this case. Too big, too much, just too much going on here. Not sleek at all, simply screams "I'm a big camcorder bag with an expensive camera in here - please steal me?" I rather wrap up my camera in an old tshirt than use this dinosaur of a bag.

Not suited for Optura 600
I have an Optura 600.

This is a very good case for a standard camcorder, with lots and lots of storage space.

But I have given only 3 stars since it is not tailor made for the Optura 600. This is a tiny camera, and will no way snugly fit in this MASSIVE case.

Would suggest this case if you are buying a LOT of accessories, or one of the larger cameras.

This was definitely NOT for me, and I have therefore returned it...

Nice Spacious Case
This is an excellent case that is well built and has a ton of space. The only thing that I'm not thrilled with is that the case has sort of a false bottom for storage. so if you want to store or take something from the false bottom, everything that is store in the top part must come out to get to the false bottom, then it all must go back in again

there is some problem with the basis
the basis of this product, doesn't match with the slot of the camera, it is rounded and the camera's slot is blocked. my video camera model is dcrhac/42; so I have make it to match, because if I sent it back will be more cost. for me. But it works with the camera and takes beatyful photos.

Clem Simpson
This unit does everything I was hoping for. I use it on my DCR-TRV22. I've tested it in varying light and the result is always a terrific snapshot picture. The camera only needed a flash designed for the camcorder e/w its own battery source.
