looks pretty, but shotting speed is not satisfying
This DC has a very cool appearance. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is the interval time between taking pics. When you take a picture, you have to wait at least 10 seconds to take the next pic. However, it is still a good camera overall, with nice pic qualities.

Probably the best camera for this price and quite a bit more, too
God, this is a wonderful camera. It's small, it's light, and it's got a genuine wide angle lens. You can still together shots for a 180 degree view, which is truly nifty, and it's got video capability and everything. On mine, however, the LCD screen proved vulnerable for reasons yet to be determined but depending on Kodak's response, I'm reserving judgement. These are awfully awfully nice cameras, tiny and high quality. I'd have a hard time getting anything else after this experience, even with the screen self destructing.

ETA: and the kodak people were just wonderful, the camera was fixed, and I am happy all over again.

ETA #2: The lenses are both digital, which means the camera's profile is flat all the time. A great advantage.

Photo Loader stinks
I love the way this camera looks and feels, the battery lasts for forever, the pictures come out all right (although you can't really do anything worthwhile close up). All of that is wasted because the program used to get the pictures onto my computer has had major problems, and I am unable to use the pictures I take.

So what is the point of taking the pictures?

I am actually boxing it up to ship it back tomorrow. Such a shame, it really is a pretty camera.

Very Small Camera - Very Good Pictures
I have not been good about taking pictures because cameras have always been a hassle to get out and use. This camera takes care of those problems. The camera is small enough to fit in your shirt pocket so you can always have it handy. The camera turns on in a second so it is always ready to use. The shutter speed is fast when you want it that way so you don't miss shots of moving targets. The best shot feature is nice as it allows you to get good results without being an expert. The camera uses very little battery power so you are not constantly recharging. I used my camera on a 10 day vacation without needing to recharge the battery!

love it!
Great little camera
-fast shot (can shoot 3 pics in a sec, depending how you set it up)
-anti shake feature
-clear picture
-different templates for different picture environments
-compact design
-large LCD
-long battery life (up to 550 per charge)
-attractive sleek design
-comes in three colors (I got silver and love it)

what more can you ask for from a snapshot camera? If you are not a professional photographer and are looking for a good camera to capture moments in everyday situations you will love this camera. I recommend it highly!

Only con:
-It does not have a view finder (which is good for daylight). I never really used the view finder since usually you just aim and shoot but this might be a drawback for some.

Just like the original
Bought this as a backup battery for my Nikon Coolpix 7900. What else can I say, other than it's identical to the one that came with the camera, and at this point I'm not sure which is which.

Are there cheaper replacements out there? Yes. Was I going to risk my $350 camera to save $10 on a generic brand battery that might burn up? Nope. Peace of mind is worth a few extra bucks, but the extra cost brings it down to 4 stars.

Allows 200 pictures in Nikon P4.
You need bunch of them to fill up larger memory chips with photos in higher resolution cameras like Coolpix P4. It is a litle one for pocket cameras, and does work as advertised.

Nikon Rechargeable Battery for Coolpix 5200
This is the best price I found for my second Rechargeable battery for my Nikon Coolpix 5200. It's perfect, and so nice to have a second battery!!! It was shipped so fast, I received it within a few days.

Inexpensive protection for expensive lenses
If you are a believer in protecting your expensive lens purchase with a filter than you can do a lot worse than a Tiffen filter. The glass quality is good and the price is reasonalbe. The filter cuts down on the glare that can adversly effect some shots with out an uv filter as advertised. Not much else to say.

Excellent value
This UV filter produces high quality pictures at a fraction of the cost of many ather brands.

it is what it is
works as advertised. you screw it on the end of your lens, and there you go.

The stitching function is really cool for scenery shots
This is my fourth Kodak digital camera. I bought this one because of the small size and the 10X optical zoom. The last Kodak that I bought was a 7490 which also has a 10X optical zoom but kind of bulky. In terms of the picture quality I think the V610 suffers a little bit because the size of the lenses are quite small. At 10X zoom it is also hard to hold the camera completely still because there is no viewfinder so you have extend your arms to use the LCD screen to shoot. What I really like about the V610 is the stitching function. I have taken my V610 hiking in the Rocky Mountains and those wide angle scenery shots with three pictures stitched together are really awesome. If you don't need 10X optical and I think you have to use a tripod to get good pictures anyway, the V570 maybe a better choice.

Fast as it is small
This camera is a pleasure to use. I haven't enjoyed a new piece of hardware
this much since I bought my first Mac Powerbook 3 years ago.

I had a 3-year old camera before, so
let me say what was bad about that one, and why the V610 is so much better.

1) 0 - > Picture time : It would take my last camera more than 5 seconds to
turn before it was ready to take a picture. The V610 is almost instantaneous.
Part of this is that it doesn't have a protruding zoom lens that needs to mechanically
move before the picture can be taken.

2) Time between pictures: My last camera would also take more than 5 seconds
to load the image between pictures. The V610 can take 1.6 pictures per second at
highest quality in burst mode.

3) Menu : My last camera had a non-intuitive menu to find things. With the V610,
I haven't had to look at the manual yet because it is so obvious how to proceed.
There are a lot of easily accessible picture modes, and I do suggest you spend
some time familiarizing yourself with them, since they can greatly improve
your picture quality by for instance decreasing exposure time for action shots,
or allowing in more light for night time portraits.

4) Battery : I used some top of the line AA rechargeable batteries on my last
camera. These used to let me take 50 pictures before discharging.

5) Lens cap: I was surprised when I took my last camera out of the package and it
didn't have a lens cap. I doublechecked that this one does has an automatic sliding
one before I bought it. It slides back and forth instantaneously when you turn on/off.

Here are a few cons :
* There is no viewfinder. You have to use the large screen on the back to
target your shot. This turns out not to be a problem in the day time, since
the screen quality is great even in the sun's glare. At night though, it is hard
to target pictures of close subjects in the complete dark. However, I found that if you
push the button down slightly, a green light is emitted that reflects off your
subject and allows you to see them. When I realized this I had no problem in
targeting pictures of close objects.

Here are a few other pros :
* I love the bluetooth. I took some pictures and easily beamed them to a friend's
laptop without having to have cables. Bluetooth isn't so fast though, so I
recommend just using Bluetooth to send smaller images to people.

* Use the SD memory card to move the pictures onto your computer with one
one of those miniature USB flash floppy drives. The SD memory card is
compatible with other pieces of hardware. I use it also for my MP3 player.
I have an old SanDisk Cruzer with removable SD card. I used to use a 128 MB
card with my old camera, but now I use a GB card for my kodak camera. They
are all compatible with the Cruzer.

It's physical size does not represent it's functionality
Kodak dubs this camera as the smallest 10x on the market. Regardless of it's size, it's functionality is very efficient. The presets make up for it's lack of manual options, and the time from turning on the camera to when you can take a picture is very speedy. I would suggest this camera to anyone looking for a wonderful point and shoot that takes beautiful shots, and still has the bells and whistles of larger cameras.

It just keeps going...
Maybe it's the camera I'm using (DSCP200), but this battery just doesn't seem to die. During normal, occasional use, I charge the battery maybe once a week. When I was on vacation and snapping shots every 2 seconds, the battery lasted almost 2 days before I had to swap it, and even then I was being conservative, as the low battery indicator hadn't even come on. I can't speak for other cameras, but using my camera with this battery has been an excellent experience.

Works Great!
I have this battery as a backup. works great with my p200...excellent battery life

Don't buy this camera
I bought it about a week ago and have been using it hoping that I would get better results, but I haven't. I returned it today. The pictures are blurry whether indoor with flash or outdoor with bright sunlight. A lot of the photos also came out dark. The image quality was just not acceptable to me.

finally give it up
I think this DC is more attractive than the pics from website when I got it. However, the focus system is too slow to accept under weak light, for example, indoor at night. This is the biggest problem I've ever met with so many DCs I used.

Conclusively, I persoanlly don't recommend this DC.

Well-designed, good picture quality
Unlike many mini digital cameras, the Nikon L3 is set up to be easy to use. The 3x optical zoom is a simple rocker switch, positioned so that it's accessible while holding the camera with one hand, as opposed to the awkward combination arrow pad / zoom arrangements on other cameras. The menu is set up so that the most common options are displayed first, rather than forcing you to scroll down through innumerable pages. It takes plain old AA batteries and has a tripod mount, two essential features that are often inexplicably omitted from cameras in this size. With the exception of the odd plastic cover for the USB port, it's superbly put together.

The quality of the "normal" 5MP pictures is unfortunately not that great, but it looks good when you use "fine" mode. Shutter lag is OK, a second or so, though it can be set up to fire continuously while the shutter is held down. The "Scene mode" promises better pictures, including detecting faces in portraits, but I haven't seen any noticeable difference. The video quality is decent, though the grinding noise of the autofocus mechanism means that you have to use a fixed focal length if you care at all about the audio.

Overall, it's a fine camera to stick in your pocket.

Latest model with missing functionality.
No issues over its functionality. The product is good but unfortunately, it is difficult to browse the menu options. You will be shown missed calls but difficult to see the missed numbers. Very importantly, further difficult is to trace the lost handset from the base terminal.

GREAT
I've bought lots of cordless phones over the years and this is without a doubt the best one I've ever had. I've usually spent more money on them.....I'll see how well it holds up.

Couldn't Ask For More
This phone performs very well. It has all the latest features and is easy to use. I use it with a Digital Voice set up from my cable company, which runs the phone line through a modem and the voice clarity is EXCELLENT both ways. My only complaint is that the talking caller ID mis-pronounces everything and sounds a bit ridiculous.

POOR QUALITY PLAYBACK
I recently purchased this item and was impressed by all the modes, screeens, folders, and features. nice machine. Smaller than i thought it was going to be but still easy to handle and carry in my pocket.

Unfortuately, the one must-have quality, in my opinion, playback, was horrible. I recorded a message and played it back, turned up the volume so i could actually hear my message and the words became brackish, tinny and distorted. i barely recognized my own words. Too bad. i have had many recorders over the years and this one has very bad playback. i returned it.

Serves the purpose admirably
When I first bought this, I was very disappointed in the playback quality. This is not the fault of the recorder but simply the speaker size. When listening back with headphones, or when the file is transferred to a PC, the quality is fine. I fly a plane and need to get weather briefings from flight service stations. These guys can rattle off stuff pretty quickly, so rather than trust my memory to write it all down, or make them repeat everything, I simply turn on the recorder, put the telephone on speaker, and capture the entire conversation. After the call, I can then play it back and catch anything that I may have missed in real-time. I also use it when at industry trade shows, when walking the exhibit floor. If I see something that I want to discuss with someone at the office, I make a quick note in the recorder and then move on to the next booth. I then transcribe these notes to an email when I get back to the hotel room. You can adjust the playback speed: Slow, so you can write stuff down or type on a PC while it is playing back, or fast, so you can quickly go over something that is not as important. (This makes it sound like you are drowsy or just had too much coffee but it serves the purpose.) I'm just now starting to use the index marks. I wish I had this when I was in college. My only complaint is that the buttons down the side for play, stop, record are not the easiest to navigate by touch alone. It would have been better if they would have used different sizes or shapes so you could feel exactly where you were without needing to look. And they are a little small so I find that I have to push them with my fingernail so as not to hit two at once. Minor complaints though.

Great little recorder
I bought the recorders for my police officers. The recorders have been fairly rugged, easy to use, have great clarity, and easy to download. They record well, even at a distance. The only negative is manipulating the small buttons with gloves on.
