excellent portable speakersi very recently bought this item and i should say that i am very satisfied with the purchase. Excellent audio quality even for my old recordings from india.
One common issue is with the installation of battery for the nice little remote.
As suggested by someone already, you have to push the small button on the left towards the right using a safety pin/ something similar and at the same time use another tool (like a pen/ hand) to push the battery door out. just a minute and you can install the batteries.

better than most papers but not better than canon proI've ordered 2 -120 sheets of Canon photo paper plus, glossy because of the good reviews here. I currently bought a canon pixma mp800 that came with the photo paper PRO. I thought the Pro printed pretty good and expected not much difference with the PLUS, however there is. Although PLUS was not bad, compared to PRO, you can difinitely tell the difference. The color and clarity of the print is great on the PRO but the PLUS is slightly blurry and the color of the skin tone is distorted somewhat. i would suggest PRO over PLUS, unless the best quality is not important to you.
Great service from AmazonI bought this product and had to return it as it was not the right one for my hardware. This was the first time I was returning something which I cought from Amazon. They made the process so simple and easy to use. I am thankful to Amazon on this service.
I would buy anything from amazon more than I used to as it is much better than seeing a not so happy face at the counter while returning the goods with a valid reason.

Great product for the moneyI have printed on many types of paper and this product works great with my Canon S9000 printer. After trying many types of paper I have settled on Canon, Epson or Agfa depending on what I am printing. This product is great for snapshots and is a lot easier than what I use to do (cut 8 1/2 x 11 paper down). My previous method was chosen because I could never find good quality paper for snapshots. The color is good and even throughout the print. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to print snapshots, very affordable...

Does what it says, but I like my old eMap betterSo far, the unit has selected workable routes for me with one exception that involved dirt roads. To be fair, the dirt road thing was before I had adjusted the settings in the unit to my preferences. I do not think this will happen again. It works fine, is very easy to use and the interface is pretty intuitive. So why do I like my 8 year old Garmin eMap better? (The eMap has a little monchrome screen and only a beep to let me know I need to turn.)
As I said above, the routes the C330 chooses are workable, but they are not the best routes (or at least not the ones I would choose). For instance, when given a choice between two 2-lane state highways, the unit always seems to think the shorter route is quicker, even if it goes through a lot more towns along the way. Other times it seems willing to route me down some pretty rural roads to save a few miles. That's OK if I'm sightseeing, but not on a dark and stormy night. It's not that the routes it chooses are wrong, they're just not the ones I would choose if I were looking at a map. This would be OK if there were a way to override the automatic route, but there isn't. On my old eMap, I have to either enter the route one via point at a time or use Garmin's MapQuest software to generate the route on a computer, adjust it to my preferences, and download it to the GPS. It's a little cumbersome, but the control it gives me is a huge benefit, especially if I'm planning a long trip and there are a number of specific stops I want to make along the way. (You could use the C330 to direct you along one point at a time, but then you'd be monkeying with it a lot during the trip and that's worse than a little extra work up front.)
If you're planning to use your GPS to go from the airport to a hotel, this type of unit is probably fine. If you plan on using it for longer trips, I would really recommend that you get a unit that gives you a way to exert some control over your route. For me, this is a big enough issue that I will keep using my old eMap instead of the much more modern and easier to see C330.

Used for a month trip / Great unit.I just got back from a month trip in our motorhome on the west coast. The unit was super. Just program where you want to go and follow the instructions. No arguements over maps. No distress over missed turns.
Positives: Easy to use. Works even on the most demanding sets of interchanges. Instructions loud enough to hear even over a crowd. Very easy to program.
Negatives: Screen washes out in strong daylight.(not that much of a problem because you use the audio directions once you are driving.) Does not allow a large expanded screen; will not display an entire route for a long trip.
Bottom line. My wife is not remotely technical and she is in love with this product. I would buy this product again or possibly an upgraded model from Garmin.

StreetPilotc330 CommentVery easy to use. Only negative to date is innaccuracy of user manual vs. actual function (one found) that even Garmin was not aware of when speaking to tech service.

A powered hub with not enough powerI bought this to hook up 7 different USB products. Unfortunately, even though it is a powered Hub, several of the products plugged into this hub would not work through the Hub: they needed to be plugged directly into my iMac. I got an error message saying that the hub could not supply enough power to connect my keyboard, my iPod, or my mulit-photo card reader. The power light was on, but somehow it did not produce enough power. The product was useful in organizing my cables, but was not useful in enabling me to avoid having to plug and unplug my USB products repeatedly. Not recommended for this reason.
Not compatible with my external dvd burnerI just installed this, plugging into it, among other things, my Comp-USA brand external dvd burner. Then I found my XP computer wouldn't boot past the keyboard detection step. Plugging the dvd burner back directly into the computer solved the problem.
Good ProductI've had this product about 6 wks and seems to be working fine. No complaints yet. Just plugged it in and went to work on the computer.

The camera is better than the caseThe camera is really good, but the case could be better!
I have had difficulties in handling the case, especially when putting thne camera in, since the lense hood often comes off while pushing the camera into the case. The zippers often get stuck with the cord that holds the hood of the lense, and I have not yet found a way to store the camera's neck strap in the case when it is strapped to my belt. There is no space in the case for extra batteries either!
The plus side is good craftmanship, nice materials and a compact case.

a great bagThis bag is made for the Canon S2 IS. It's a snug fit, but that is what it's built for. An FYI to the other reviewers who complained of no shoulder strap on this bag: the neck strap for the camera also serves as the shoulder strap for the case - the strap just comes out through the top of the case. It's really a handy little feature. If you're just carrying the camera around for regular use and don't need extra supplies, this is a great bag.

Not much of an upgradeI upgraded to the new 60gb iPod from a 3rd generation 40 GB model. I used to have a remote control I could clip on my lapel. No more. I used to be able to update songs at 400Mb/s with Firewire. No more -- I do not have the very latest Mac, and Firewire transfers are "not supported," so I have to update at USB 1.0 speeds. I am not sure my new iPod will be fully loaded by the time my flight leaves the day after tomorrow. I'm seriously considering returning this.
Definitely the best yetI bought the Creative Zen first but it was not for the non-techo savvy crowd. But this Ipod was truly plug and play and I love itunes. My son will be teaching me how to use it more productively. But, for now, it plays great sounding music. I also got the FM radio/remote accessory and that is great. It picked up many channels even in the remote area that I live. So, it's a great product.
Amazing gadget, and I received it free!I would recommend getting a PDA screen protecting film to avoid scratches. Overall, I love my new iPod Video, and recommend you to buy one if you have the money. Or you can just get it Free like I did at this web site: nocost2u.biz/ipod-video

Palm TX stable (if user is stable)I've read through most of the Palm TX reviews here on Amazon. I was slightly apprehensive on buying this device afterwards, but decided to give the thing a shot. I bought a refurb, and so far I've been completely happy. As far as I'm concerned, a refurb might be better than a brand new TX for two reasons:
1) Price.
2) Palm has had a chance to look the device over and fix any problems.
I'm wondering if most of the negative reviews stem from buyers not knowing how to use the thing, and then screwing it up adding crappy software and changing around the settings. I bet this is true. Sure, some are junk straight from the box, but this is true of most any electronic device purchased today, not just PDA's. Buyer beware: you take a risk with anything.
The user interface is easy to use, but changing some of the settings is a trial & error venture. But once you get the hang of it, usually in a couple days, it's clear sailing from then on. Add a memory card, and the TX is a borderline mini-computer. For someone who hasn't used a PDA before, I'm pretty impressed. If any other issues arise, I'll update this post.
Now I'm hoping when I post this my TX doesn't go to [...]. Knowing my luck, it will. But until then I've been a satisfied customer, and would recommend those looking for a PDA give the Palm TX a serious look.
