Fast Media!I use this card with a Nikon D70. It works fantastic. Greatly improves reviewing time when playing back photos.
Good capacity, good speed, good priceThe SanDisk 2GB Ultra II is hitting a sweet spot in terms of capacity, speed and price. Last I checked the price for one of these was under $80. I now own two of them.
I use these cards in a Canon 20D digital camera. Since I shoot RAW images write speed is critical. The Ultra II cards do an admirable job keeping up with the RAW images. In contrast, my standard SanDisk cards are painfully slow in my 20D! On a recent trip I filled up my 2GB card and had to switch to using my three 512MB standard SanDisk cards. Their write speed was so slow compared to the Ultra II I was frequently forced to wait while the camera said "BUSY". Hence my purchase of a second 2GB Ultra II.
My advice: If you're shooting a 6MP, 8MP or larger camera in RAW mode get the fastest cards you can. SanDisk Ultra II seems just about the right speed.
Rob Galbraith has a great web site with a database of CF cards and their read/write speeds when used in different cameras. Look up your camera and the cards you're thinking of buying to make sure the performance will be good.

JunkBiggest piece of crap I have ever bought. Got it for my wife's birthday two years ago. Had to send it in for repairs right out of the box. Again 4 months later. And once again a year after that. With a turnaround time of almost two months each time, it has been in the repair shop almost as much time as she has got to use it.
Canon PowerShot A530 5MP with 4x Optical ZoomI have only had this camera for a month but I love it and it works great with my Macintosh computer. I bought it for the 5 megs and the 4x Zoom combination.
Nice cameraGood product quality, ease to use. I liked the ability to display the pictures on TV. Easy sharing althoug the software might need to be improved to allow similtaneous selection of pictures with the mouse instead of having to go picture after picture to select the ones you want to transfer. Very good battery life I shot +100 pictures using flash and lots of zoom and the rechargeable batteries (NiMH 2500 mA) still had enough juice for another +100 pictures on daytime. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Great quality but some annoyancesYou can not beat the photographic quality of a Canon. All the camera features are wonderful and mode selection is easy to set without going through any confusing menus. The 30 fps video mode is very clear and one of the best available in a camera of this size. The thing I really dislike is the battery charger! Why haven't they incorporated a battery that gets charged while you have the camera connected to your USB port like Samsung cameras?
They should also add the MP3 player capability to this and then it would be the perfect camera. Check out the Samsung VP-MS11
I would like to hear your questions or comments about cameras you own or have used.. write me greg_88888@yahoo.com

Sony DSC-W100 VS Canon Powershot SD600I absolutely love this camera. I chose to get one for my birthday. So I was looking in magazines, and I was looking at Canon's because my mom has one. I went to go look at them, and suprisingly, the Sony W100 was much bigger than I had expected. The Canon is the same size as the SD450, which is super small. I think the camera is overall better than the Sony. The only thing I have to complain about is the screen. Canon is trying to fit a large amount of megapixels over a small space, causing the pictures to look grainy on the screen, plus, it scratches easily.Make sure you order an extra battery (it is alwyas handy to have an extra) and a bigger memory card. This camera is great for first timers, it is literally a point and shoot deal.
Frekin Awesomethats all i need to say. i couldnt find a better camera for such a great price. the macro setting is my favorite but the fireworks option was spectacular for the forth of july. just frekin awesome

All hype and no substance.Pros:
+ Impressive design. Simple and very elegant.
+ Good support and integration from 3rd party.
Cons:
- Poor battery life. The UP TO 14 hours is realisticly 8 hours for new batteries. (Lets hope the battery last for a least a year)
- Locked to iTunes. No every machine has iTunes installed.
- One-way sync means no backing up your music.
- Easily scratches.
- Overpriced accessories.
- No radio.
- No recording.
- Restrictive file format support.
- OPTIONAL charger!!! For the price, who are we kidding.
IMO, the Nano is not worth its value. Apple should be very proud of the campaigning job they've done with the Ipod.

Definitely would buy again from this sellerExcellent service. Very satisfied with transaction. My thanks to the seller.
Great product at a great priceI bought two of these for my Kodak digital camera. They both work great and have read/write times equal to the SanDisk card that came with my camera. I've experienced no errors or problems, and just one of them held all the pictures I took on a week-long cross-country trip, with room to spare. I recommend this card very highly.

Wireless routerI had difficulties setting up because of my spatial logistics -- using a desk top in one room with a cable modem and router in a closet near unit entry. Got all the help I needed. Also, had problems with a firmware update when my IT sophisticated son, tried to do it -- he had to use his laptop connected directly to router, which is why I couldn't do it; I was advised not to risk a disconnect by trying to do it wireless. Got lots of help and resolved. Only a mild technical issue. I noted that my connection strength varied widely from very low to very good without change in location of adaptor or router. Advised to do firmware update. This did not seem to resolve. Just did it yesterday and haven't contacted Linksys again. However, has not been a problem in a practical sense. Always able to connect.
The Better Router BrandWarning: If you are changing from a wired to a wireless router, you might encounter installation problems. I went with Linksys after the D-link wireless router I bought failed to connect and I gave up hope of talking to D-link tech support after 45 minutes on hold. The Lynksys WRT54G encountered the same problems, but I was able to get through to tech support almost instantly. I finally called my DSL provider (Verizon) and they got me back online before tranferring me to a Linksys tech, who talked me through each step and got be back online sans wires! I know, normally I hate Verizon too, but they really came through. The Lynksys tech support makes all the difference! The WRT54G works very well!

Not much of an upgradeI upgraded to the new 60gb iPod from a 3rd generation 40 GB model. I used to have a remote control I could clip on my lapel. No more. I used to be able to update songs at 400Mb/s with Firewire. No more -- I do not have the very latest Mac, and Firewire transfers are "not supported," so I have to update at USB 1.0 speeds. I am not sure my new iPod will be fully loaded by the time my flight leaves the day after tomorrow. I'm seriously considering returning this.
Definitely the best yetI bought the Creative Zen first but it was not for the non-techo savvy crowd. But this Ipod was truly plug and play and I love itunes. My son will be teaching me how to use it more productively. But, for now, it plays great sounding music. I also got the FM radio/remote accessory and that is great. It picked up many channels even in the remote area that I live. So, it's a great product.

Apple has nothing to fearI have an iPod shuffle, and occasionally I wanted to know what I was listening to, so when I had the opportunity to pick up a Zen as part of a welcome offer I decided to give it a go. Well.....
Take a look at the display on the product photos. See how big the time display is? Want to guess how much space is left for the song title and such? Not a whole lot.
Speaking of song information. It seem the Zen displays the file name or the song name (haven't figured it out) and there is no way to get it to display more than that.
No one ever promised me that it would have a clock, but several times I found myself wanting to know what hte time was and looking at the Zen, which doesn't display any of that sort of thing, unlike, say, all Apple iPods with a screen.
Finally, this thing feels flimsy, probably because of the el cheapo buttons and the battery compartment which does not close very tightly. By contrast, Apple's iPods, because they only come with rechargable batteries, feel like a single chunk of material, a much more reassuring feeling.
No, this is not a player I would recommend to anyone for any reason except that it's cheap. Ok, concession: if you need the radio or the voice recorder you don't have to buy iPod accessories. But that's really it.

No Better Value For MoneyI wanted to present my kids with a flash disk MP3 player before we left for the holidays. Reason? Flash based players have longer battery life and can withstand the rough and tumble of 7-12 year olds. Also did not want to spend a fortune as this age groups tend to lose things quickly.
After a lot of research, zoomed in on the Creative Nano Plus 1GB player for two added benefits, Mic Recording and FM tuner. Also uses commonly available AAA batteries and lasts about 12-16 hours. Features a software to transfer songs but can also drag-n-drop because the player is recognised as a hard drive in windows.
Now sound quality coming from Creative is excellent. User inteface can be better but actually is sufficient. Onlt complaints are poor build quality and ill fitting headphones.
When my Dad saw the kids with their Creative Nano Plus, he loved it and wanted one for himself. Just bought a fourth player today. Highly Recommended as a sensible buy.

Cool, Simple, and FunctionalFrom someone who is semi proficient in using digital media, this player is the ticket for someone who just wants to listen to music and digital books. I know, I know; it can't display your favorite pictures or allow you to watch Lost or Desperate Housewives but really how long can you look at a 2" screen??? If you just want to listen to some of your favorite music in a short amount of time then this is a great product. I don't find the earphones that bad either, but then I have never claimed to be an audiophile, just someone who enjoys hearing details of music at a clarity that is fine for the average person. Easy to install, easy to load, easy to navigate through the menus. For $65 what else can you ask for??
If you're looking for a handy dandy storage device, this is the one for you.
