There are a lot of CB radios out there and the Cobra 29 LTD Classic has stood the test of time. It comes with the traditional chrome detailed brushed aluminum faceplate that really shows off this radio. But the true quality is in the radio itself. I have owned plenty of CBs in the past 30 years including some top-end AM/sideband CBs as well as a few export radios, and as far as a straight AM 40 channel CBs, this is one that really shines above the others. The most impressive features in this radio are its sensitivity in receiving, even while the Noise-Blanker and/or Automatic Noise Limmiter circuits are engaged. And these circuits actually eliminate static and engine-generated noise...unlike some other radios. Overall, the 29LTD Classic is perhaps the best inexpensive AM CB out there!

Scanner perfect for document scanning.
No jams !!! Reliable ADF. Can get about 70 pages (by doc 50).
It scans to pdf on a fly. A little slower for picture scanning. In any case it does not fall into coma if it is not active for a while as Epson models do.
Scan wizard is good for regular use but not for occasional.
For different tasks you need change wizard settings which
are hidden in dropdowns and under buttons.
Scanning pictures from magazine you have option for descreen.
For me HP's scanning interface is more user-friendly but
does not have some necessary options which 1210 wizard has.
So, you want to save your time on a daily basis buy it.

This scanner is one of the best scanners out there for this kind of price. Not only was it easy to set up, it is super fast and reliable. I usually scan 10-20 page documents, just black and white and have it save in PDF format. It takes about 2-3 minutes to do a 20 page document. There are so many other features I haven't even look in to. Definitely two thumbs up!!

We have been looking for months for a high speed document imaging solution to our thousands of pages of legal work. It was tiresome and time consuming to have our legal assistants continually feed in page by page or have to worry about documents jamming. It was counterproductive and unacceptable in a business atmosphere. Thankfully we saw this just came out and decided to try it. Document jams are non-existent and the increase in productivity alone has easily justified the purchase. Large PDF files are produced within minutes, and it scans as fast as the xerox machine takes to spit out documents in the first place. I highly recommend this product to anyone in a corporate setting that needs to scan in large quantities of documents and doesn't want to be worried with calling tech support about persistent jams or problems.

this product would not work with my dell dimension desktop, even after i installed a pcia card with high-speed usb2. very poor technical support from h-p (india). what ever happened to h-p quality??

<- A HP Scanjet 4600 (without anymore words) is a see through flat scanner (without transparency adapter). The price of less than $50 is entirely too low to be for real. In small print at the "friendlysolutions" listing there is the following:

(...)REAL TIME availability - highly recommended before placing an order. hp scanjet transparent materials adapter "

Note the last word, "Adapter"... apparently this is the adapter that comes with the Scanjet 4670 or can be purchased separately as the "HP Scanjet 4600 transparent materials adapter." The merchant does list the model number beside the name of the scanner but who would know that is an adapter.

If you are looking for the see-through scanner look elsewhere.

I think this has great photo quality. The colors aren't as bright as an inkjet but they are closer to the real thing. No ink cartridges to deal with. Much smoother appearance, no inkjet dots. The down side is the size of the photo but most of the photos I print are in 3 1/2 x 5 or 4 x 6 anyway.

This printer is not bad. It's not brilliant though just OK. Good quality pictures printed too. The price though is a bit to much. I am getting a digital camera and our printer is not very good so I will probably get a new one. This is the one we will most likely to get.

I use this with a 4 MP camera. The result is stunning. You cannot tell the prints were digital originals. The quality is that good. One caveat... will not work with Windows 2000 or XP. Win 98/ME only :-( Other than that, highly recommended.

This base station is a waste of money. It's just too cumbersome to hook up the laptop, especially if you want to use an external monitor, for example. I'm sure I'll forget to unplug the monitor from the laptop (yes, laptop - it's not connected to the base!) and destroy the laptop or the monitor in the process.

This gizmo weighs a ton - I assume it's the speakers!? The design of this thing makes it close to unusable.

Avoid - save your money.

Pros:
1. Matches my HP laptop computer perfectly.
2. People think it looks cool.
3. 250 GB internal HDD is huge!

Cons:
1. Dorky connector plugs into the side of the laptop, and looks wrong.
2. The speakers suck. Not much better than the microscopic ones on my laptop.
3. Can't add a larger monitor, which sucks cause my notebook only has a 14"er.
4. Hard drive is made exclusively for this expansion base, and can't be used with anything else. It would be nice to just have an external drive, cause lugging this mammoth around is totally impractical.
5. The included wireless mouse and keyboard kinda suck. The buttons are not firm; it's like the whole thing wobbles and bounces as you type.
6. Since installing a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard (left my HP ones in a hotel), I have to re-set the mouse sensitivity every time I dock/undock the laptop from the expansion base. Many peripherals do not support being used with an expansion base.
7. When my ethernet is hooked to my laptop, it will not work when I dock the laptop to the expansion base. I have to unplug the ethernet from the laptop and connect it into the expansion base to work. This is for DSL BTW.
8. It was $500! Way too expensive... I should have just bought an external 250GB HDD, a stand, a wireless mouse and keyboard for much less.

I got one because of a bad power jack. It seems that when you keep plugging in into the jack - eventually the jack goes bad - sometimes the repair folks want to replace the entire motherboard - well this item as well as the HP Media cable - will solve the problem because it powers the computer thru a separate slot !!
Now my computer works like its new. The raising of screen to eye level is a nice feature to have. The unit is a bit heavy though.
I just wish people knew about power jack problems and disconnect ac power at the ac adapter(unplug ac cord ) instead of at the computer.It is pricey - but to me well worth it! PS - a tip - If you use a notebook cooler(Notepal by Coolermaster ) under the notebook - it will fit in the
expansion base and raise it - so you don't have to use a wireless mouse, necessarily. You will be able to use the touchpad(otherwise - the touchpad is partly covered by the base ) - cool!!
