Power hungry little thing! This drive's nice and quick. If you want you can even format it using a disk utility program for perfect, flawless compatibility in Mac OS 9. My only complaint is that it requires more power than is available on unpowered USB ports (like on your keyboard or small hub). The storage capacity of this is simply fantastic.

Easy as pie!Just plug it in, then click and drag. I used it to transfer video files to another computer - it holds a lot of stuff - about four 1 hour episodes! So easy and convenient - I'm done with CDs for good!

Canon BP511ACanon made for the EOS 20D. Expensive camera, so why risk using cheap batteries? The battery has a long life use.

Better than the original !My original Canon battery that came with the camera has a distressing habit of dying after ~250 pictures (I have a 1 GB memory card that can take many more), so I had to figure out a way of charging it whereever I went. I had thought that a non-Canon battery, almost by definition, would be worse than the original. But, no - this one is great. It lasts longer - I havent formally tested it to see how long it lasts, but it lasted for >320 pictures on one occasion, so is clearly better. Carrying this is better than carrying a charger with you on long trips.

Great little driveI've been using this 1GB drive against Windows 2000/XP and its been great. Plugs in and out without issues.
The best I've hadThis is a must have for saving space or just saving important data. I was changing computers. It keeps your information. I tried others and it didn't keep the data. This one keeps it safe. It is a tad complicatedl, but it is worth it. It keeps all kinds of data, unlike others that claim to. And I have lost some important data in the past!

Better than advertised...and expected.I have purchased many electronic devices that have been a huge disappointment, including a handheld GPS unit. So perhaps I didn't have high hopes for this particular unit, given the pricerange and the ambivalent reviews.
However, this does exactly what it is advertised to do, and does it extremely well. It is versatile, working for both running and biking with different speed modes. It finds satellites very quickly versus the other GPS receiver that I have. It seems durable, and the size is not overly cumbersome once you have had it on for a few minutes--it's like an oversized wristwatch.
When it comes to training, I can't believe I ever trained without this. The interval training feature has been invaluable, automatically setting distances and rest periods with no intervention from me. The display is very intuitive. And, except for a few times losing the signal in heavy tree cover, I have had no problems with the reception or the apparent accuracy of the unit.
Lastly, the history feature of the unit is wonderful. The device itself has a pretty good history display, keeping track of days, distances, paces, calories burned, and so forth. But, when you download the training software from Garmin, and upload your data to the machine, it makes it even better.
Yes, I agree the cable to do the upload could have been a USB cable rather than a serial cable, but I suspect there were size issues to deal with here, even with a mini-USB plug, that made the serial cable the best choice. I would say that the device/PC interface is probably the one weak spot here.
Lastly, I bought the bike mount for this...but then realized you can just wear it on your wrist! So I haven't even used the bike mount.
All in all, one of my best purchases, especially given the price point.

GreatI've tested this item out on several occassions and the accuracy is perfect. Works great and I have never had a problem in the few hundred miles I've used it on.
Why pay more?I have 2 friends who have the 205 and I just cant see the reason to spend the extra $150 for it. This tracks my time, pace & distance. There are also several items like calories burned, fastest pace, etc. I use coolrunnig.com to keep my running journal and have not used the software for the device. If you are debating between the 2, get this one and save the use your savings to some new running shoes.

A headset that really works wellYou want the convenience of a hands-free cordless phone connection, right? This the best headset you'll ever own. Comfortable fit, low price, and excellent sound quality. Even a whisper can be heard at both ends. True, there's no volume adjustment, but you won't miss it.
Buy from Amazon.com. Panasonic models I purchased at Best Buy and Fry's just didn't work as well.

excellent headsetJust got it, plugged it in, and it is great. Reception on both ends excellent, better than the phone itself. I have a Panasonic KX-TGA270S, which is supposed to work the best for this headset, which may work in my favor. Comfortable, no more neck/shoulder cramps for long converstations. I purchased from RCI, about $11 inc. shipping. A great deal.

Safety assuredThe toughskin was a great choice for someone like me, who has a tendency to drop things into bags and drawers and such. I've had my Ipod in this since moments after opening it, and my screen is scratch free and should remain so. My only complaint is that I cannot dock the Ipod without removing the skin, and that's a cumbersome task. For those who are less than graceful, however, this product provides a bit of insurance against klutziness.
Good enough for meIt took me 4 months to commit to a case for my 30G iPod video, but I finally bought this, and am not unsatisfied.
1) The skin makes my iPod look like military issue, which is neither good nor bad.
2) It's unfortunate there aren't two sizes, since the extra slice of rubber for the 30G bulks it up a little, but I suppose it beefs the protection up a little, too, which isn't necessarily bad. I won't be tossing my iPod like a hand grenade, but my terror level has dropped noticeably now that it has some body armor.
3) I suspect the plastic belt clip won't last heavy users forever, but I don't really care as I don't wear my electronic accessories on my belt. The swivel dojobber the clip attaches to can be removed, but only by removing the skin itself, which is not particularly difficult but not something you want to do more than once in a while.
4) I hope the screen protector is replaceable at moderate cost, but the Speck website doesn't mention one. Oh well.
Summary - no post purchase blues.

Excellent Case... out of many others!I have always loved cases with belt clips, and this was one of the few that actually works well that includes a belt clip. The belt clip attaches so you can swivel around your iPod, and even take it out while you still have the clip itself on your belt, so that's great when you want to set it down. If you set it down with the belt clip down it's kind of like having a stand for the iPod. Enough about the belt clip. The case itself is pretty sturdy once the iPod is in it. It may not seem like it without the iPod in it, but stick it in, and you'll see. The removable screen protector is a great addon if you end up scratching up your screen protector and can't see the screen anymore, instead of scratching up the screen itself. The only parts exposed on the iPod with this case is the click wheel, Center button, data connector at the bottom, hold button, and headphone jack. That's exactly what you need. Included is a spacer in case you have an 30gig iPod. Basically saying, both the iPod 60 gig and 30 gig fit into this nice case. Out of all the other iPod cases online that you get overwhelmed with, this is THE ultimate iPod Video case.

Good, but missing many POIsI find that many Points of Interest (POIs) are missing. As an example if I search for a particular chain store in town I get 5 results while there are actually 11 listed in the phone book. All 11 have been around for years so it's not a problem of being too new. I find this same result over and over as I search for dining, stores and other businesses. For me this really diminishes the usefulness of the product.
City Navigator vs City SelectFor those of you who are deciding between City Navigator and City Select, buy Navigator. Here are reasons I find over various forum and news groups when I was making my buying decision.
Garmin has about 8 different levels of street classifications, all the way from pedestrian and animal pathways to multilane controlled access highways. For each roadway, there can be up to 60 invisible attributes, indicating the number of lanes, number of stop signs or traffic lights per mile, speed limits, presence of medians, time of day restrictions, heavy vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle restrictions, and so forth. Whether these 60 pieces of data are included in the software or used by the GPS for its calculations is part of the feature set of the 3 map packages offered by Garmin.
The basic level (Metroguide) does not support automatic route generation. (Note: Metroguide 4.01 and below use data from TeleAtlas. So Metroguide 4.01 is the best version you can find that won't need an unlock code to use the routing function on your Garmin)
The intermediate level (City Select) supports automatic route generation, but does not contain certain 'high end' road attributes such as truck restrictions, time of day restrictions, stop signs per mile, mid-road barrier awareness, and various other road attributes.
The highest level (City Navigator) contains all those things, and is targeted for Garmin's higher end GPS's. This can explain the why Navigator's map data are much larger than Select. I bought the Navigator for my 60Cx and within the same order I also bought a 1GB microSD memory chip. The Navigator has about 1.6 GB map data. With 1GB microSD, I can hold the map about half of the US (from west of IL all the way to the east coast)
As far as the quality of map detail, I'd say it's about the same as MS Streets & Trips 2006, which I use a lot on my PC. I haven't found any errors yet. None of them has the railroads of Chicago CTA train, which, interestingly, are in Garmin's US Topo map. All have Metra railroads though.
For the actually performance and accuracy of the map, you could refer to the reviews of other Garmin's models that are dedicatedly made for in-car use and preloaded with City Navigator NT, such as StreetPilot i5, c340, and Nuvi 350, etc. Navigator NT uses the same data and only differs in compression techniques. From what I read, it seems about 80% of the people are happy with the routing result. To my experiences, by only giving start and end waypoints, I couldn't get my preferable route for most of the time. I have to specify several additional waypoints to "manipulate" how the route is calculated. (All software and online maps are like this so I have no complaint here). I am not planning to heavily rely on the turn-by-turn routing feature.
