Nice portable unit
Toa sattilite radioLove this radio. Get's good receiption no matter where I go. Would recommend it to anyone. My only suggestion is to have a professional install it.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS HERE...INCREDIBLE VALUE!I've been chomping at the bit for months to get an XM radio. The main disappointment I had with most receiver units was that they weren't complete: there was always an extra required purchase to make the whole thing work. The Tao XM2Go player takes care of all that. Everything is included in one package: the portable unit, the home kit and the car kit. All you have to do is take it all out of the box, read the instructions and set up your subscription. Voila! You're good to go!
The unit's built-in antenna is good but probably not as powerful as it should be (I get signal dropouts when I take it out on walks) but the car antenna more than makes up for it, giving you strong signal and great sound. The home antenna is also very good and you have your choice of in-line setup or FM transmitter setup.
The unit itself is light and easy to carry, though some will probably argue it's too big, especially if they're used to smaller devices like mp3 players. A belt clip/desktop stand and a protective case are included for carrying. The controls are intuitive and easy to learn. This player has the ability to record up to 5 hours of broadcasts that can be listened to at a later time (very practical when you're stuck in an area with no signal). There's a memory function to help you recall song titles and artists, and you can program your XM2Go to alert you when your favorite tracks/artists are playing on any XM channel.
Overall, it's a great product. The fact that it's all-in-one makes it a great value.

Boom micNever got it. It arrived at the postoffice and was returned because the postoffice had a temporary employee on at the time and wouldn't deliver to the address. And since you wouldn't redeliver or place somewhere for me to contact you about this problem I had no way to get it resent before you put the money back into my account. Won't happen again.
Thanks,
Artie.

Ear Piece just okI work security and use the motorola two way radios a lot. The ear piece headset works well but only if you have big ears. I have small ears and the earpiece would slip off a lot. My co-worker likes it because it's lightweight and fits snug. He has larger ears than I do. I recommend this product if you have large enough ears for the earpiece to hang on to.
Very funtional boom micI purchased these mic's for my wedding videography company to use during all day film shoots. They stand up to the constant use and reuse. I highly recommend if you're in a high paced industry. They hold up and maintain performance as advertised.

Impressive.I have had the Bose Wave for several days now and have been constantly impressed by the sound generated by this little machine. I replaced a clunky cord-bound component system and simplified with this little beauty, which is now my primary music source. I have given up nothing in sound quality. Crisp, clear, and dynamic sound across a broad spectrum. Base range is solid and works effectively for type of music I prefer: generally acoustic or rock: Dylan, Cohen, Cockburn, Drake, Wilco, Van Morrison, etc. Not sure how it would handle base heavy rock, hip hop, etc. Can play loud with no noticeable distortion.
I'm hearing new sounds on recordings I've listened to hundreds of times: vocalist taking a breath, finger on guitar strings.
I like the simple and clean "no button" design. As part of promotion, came with additional full size back-lit remote which sits nicely on top of the machine, giving virtual machine top controls.
1st machine had vibration in right speaker, but Bose customer service excetional and shipped an exchange to me next day.
Couldn't be happier. Fiona Apple calls.

Expensive, and worth itI bought this to replace a JVC shelf system I'd had for 6 years when the CD drive on that unit finally failed. I looked at less expensive systems, but none of them had the sound quality of the Bose. Plus, the Wave is very well built and sturdy, and I have had good luck with other Bose products that I own.
The sound of the Wave is excellent by any objective standard. No, it does not sound like a system with a receiver and separate speakers strategically placed for optimal stereo separation. If you want that, that's what you need to buy. But for a very small one-piece radio/CD player with a clock, the sound is outstanding.
The Wave consists of the unit itself and a small remote, not much larger than a credit card. Bose also makes two larger remotes for the Wave, one that's basically a bigger version of the one that come with the Wave, and the other a back-lit version. Bose had a promo including a back-lit remote in the cost of the Wave when I bought it, and I prefer this remote to the smaller one.
One criticism that reviewers have mentioned is the lack of any controls on the Wave itself. This isn't as big a deal as it may seem at first. Think about your TV and then ask yourself how often you use the controls on the TV itself, versus the remote. The same is probably true with your DVD, VCR, and other electronics. Most of these devices have just a few controls on the unit itself, and the rest are on the remote. Granted, it would have been more convenient if Bose had included a power button on the unit, but you can get a second remote for about $10, so you can leave one by the Wave and the other can be wherever you want it. The remote is very sensitive and will work without being directly aimed at the unit.
The controls on the remote are very intuitive and clearly marked, without the usual crowded and confusing array of buttons, most of which you'll never use. Setting up the Wave consists of getting it out of the box, plugging it in, setting the time, and turning it on. You can also connect an external audio source using a mini-jack input on the back of the Wave. I have an iPod connected to the Wave using the mini-jack, and the sound is just as good as the FM and the CD.
Some reviewers have also complained about the lack of tone controls. You definitely should listen to the Wave before buying one, and if you do not like the sound, don't buy it. If you do like the sound, you will not want to adjust the tone. If you cannot listen to your music without constantly adjusting the tone, do not buy the Wave.
The things I like most about the Wave besides the sound quality are the design and the ease of use. The remote and the display are simple and logical, the way they should be. The user's guide is thorough, direct, and concise, and you won't need to keep referring to it. The focus here is not on pushing a lot of buttons, it's on listening to the music. The Wave has the features most people will want, without a lot of extras that very few people would ever use. The Wave is small and will fit just about anywhere you want to put it, without drawing attention to itself. For me, it was worth every penny.

GREAT!I mainly bought this for the sound, not the looks. It's GREAT! I like that at night, when it's dark, it automatically dims to the room brightness level. Better than the Wave Radio/CD I!

satisfaction The item I order was a good purchase. I would recommend this item to others.
walk and listenMy husband runs and loves to listen to books on tape. He had the "old" model, purchased in the 90's and since tape players are probably on the way out, I was glad to find this one. It is excellent. He can run, listen, and no skipping.

Hand Held ScannerI enjoy using this product for it`s clarity, ease of operation, and the fair price I paid for it. It involved free shipping and arrived before the projected time. Very satisfied and would recomended to anyone interested in a good product from Uniden and sold and shipped from Amazon.Sincerly, Skokie.
BC92XLT Great little radio that does it allI've been listening to "police & fire calls" for over 30 years now. Times have changed, now you can listen in on much, much more. And this little radio can do it all. From NASCAR, to airplanes, Coast Guard, HAM's, public service, hospitals just about anything (NO celluar however). If you haven't used a scanner before, just read the instructions manual. This uses 2 AA batteries and comes with a charger, antenna belt clip and manual. Need your local frequencies? Just do an internet search, you'll find them. I like this radio so much that I bought a second one to keep in the car.
Great HandheldGreat radio. I take it to work and listen to it all day. Programs and runs the same as all uniden radios. You do need to read the instructions. For an experienced radio hound it is no trouble. For the beginner it has preprogrammed searches to get them started quickly. Great size and is well built. I currently own an 898T also and the sensitivity to signals are the same for both. This is the fifth Bearcat I have owned and it has not let me down!!!

Midland 75-785I bought this as a replacement for my fullsize cobra unit that was "borrowed" from my car without my knowledge. Overall I really like this unit. It is small, compact and can be easily moved from vehicle to vehicle. The best part about it is that you can either have it wired in the car or run it as a handheld. The only downside to the unit is the fairly small speaker, but if you turn down the radio there really is no problem. In terms of performance, I think this little radio works better than any I have had before. I am able to pick up the NOAA weather stations much clearer than I was before. Overall a great product for the price.
Powerful Little UnitNice radio. gee Luke did you want the thing deivered before you ordered it? I guess maybe you should have spent the extra 15.00 bucks. Amazon service is fast! This is a great product.
works as I suspectedTo me this radio works better than the small two way radios, thats why I bought it. Yes it's a little bigger than the 2 way radios, but what I really wanted was more clearly transmission and a longer range which is what I got.

Great Bang For The Buck!I purchased this radio new on Amazon for about 26 bucks delivered; not a bad price for any CB that is in working order, new or used! So there is value here! The first radio I received was defective; the receive section totally lost it's sensitivity after a few minutes of turning the radio on, and it was easily replaced with a fully functioning one. As one who enjoys "big" rig equipment, the compact size in this case allowed me to install it within the space beneath a removable tray in my car. Using a good quality extension speaker did the trick; but the radio has surprisingly good audio quality and volume from its internal speaker. An added bonus that NONE of the sellers; even the manufacturer ever mentions is that this rig does have an RF Gain control, a feature NEVER seen in a radio at this price point. Another thing I am impressed with is the fact that the squelch control actually works properly; set it for a particular threshold, and it will allow signals to pass selectively based on the FULL range of differently received signal strengths. It seems that the radio has some sort of "fuzzy logic" that allows a signal to break the squelch and remain received even as the signal fluctuates under the selected threshold to some degree. Most squelch circuits, even in high priced equipment, operate miserably in this regard. So with the other features presented with this radio, ease of operation, good TX & RX audio, the nice size package, and the price - you simply can't go wrong!
Outstanding radioI have been into CB radios since they first came out. I also have 50 year experience as a ham radio operator and an electrical engineer. I have never had a better CB radio. I purchased a second one just to have in years to come as a spare. I use it every day-it has very low crosstalk from high power CB transmitters nearby on the Interstate.
Can't beat it for the $

Not Bad For The MoneySurprising quality for this price range, my son uses this around town to talk with his buddies and it works just fine! Worth the purchase price and then some. And it's fun with a PA horn installed under the hood too!

Save your money!I bought this system last August and Sony has replaced it twice. The CD tray would not work on the first unit and the CD quit working after playing five CD's on the second unit. This system is a piece of junk. This was my first Sony purchase and will be my last. My little clock radio works better than this. Now I have holes in my cabinet and a unit with only the radio working and it has very bad reception. I bought this to save space on my kitchen counter but should have stayed with my small boom box. I sent an e-mail to Sony to complain and all I received was an offer to replace the unit I have. I give up.
Cool to have around in your Kitchen! It plays CD, Radio, Whether, and some TV stations! great to catch some weather or traffic report on TV while in the kitchen w/o having to go to the livingroom for TV. Sound isn't the strongest, and the radio can use a better antenna, but since it hides away under the kitchen shelf, I can live with it.
Sony is the greatestWe absolutely love our new under counter radio and cd player. It fits perfectly under the cabinet (in terms of depth) and the reception pulls in all my favorite stations.

If I could rate it a "0" I would...but 1 is the lowest choice!I know that you can't expect much for under $20....and it was too good to be true. First, the dials are hard to use....then the sound was terruble and the picture quality was poor...and on and on. I guess if you're in a 3rd world country , this would be a good buy....but my advice is, "Don't even consider this set !" I sent it back as quickly as I could and felt stupid for even thinking that I could get a decent set with an AM-FM radio for this price.
It worksI put batteries in it to see if it worked. It did. It was cheap, for emergencies only, and that was what I wanted.
Excellent, little TVI bought this little TV primarily to monitor the signal
strength of our cable infracstructure where I work. It is
very convenient to carry such a portable unit. The picture
is excellent (when the signal is strong), but the best
is the size. I highly recommend this unit, which can be
used with either the aerial antenna or with a cable
antenna.
