Pros:

* This is the smallest AM radio I've been able to find. It has FM too, but there's plenty of FM-only options. It's harder to find a small AM radio.

* It's cheap. You can't beat the price.

* Good sound.

Cons:

* The digital display is practically invisible. (Unlike the radio pictured above). Can't see a thing under sunlight. Even in standard light, you have to shift the radio about, glimpsing it from various angles to see anything in the digital display. It may as well not even be there.

* No digital tuner. It's an analog dial tuner, so you fade in and out of stations, trying to dial to the best position.

* No preset feature. You can't program your favorite channels. Every time you want to switch stations, you have to search for it on the dial (and since you can't see the digital display, it is a search).

* The headphone jack it not at the top (as pictured) but along the side, near the dials. So the jack gets in the way as you hold the radio and try to dial from one station to the next.

How often can a brand new tuner need to be repeatedly unplugged and rebooted? Pretty Often! Try buying ANY other peice of equipment, like a Starmate at a fraction of the cost of a DT-7000s, and enjoy better performance and use-ability. What junk from Kenwood.

I had the same problem as Oilman. And had to return 2 units, then had to call multiple times to get my money back (took over 6 months before the issue was resolved).

I like the display and it is very light. The only problem is that is runs very hot and if installed in a cabinet, can be an issue. Otherwise, I am very happy with it's performance.

I received 2 of these, both with a broken clock. I returned both of them and Amazon says they have not received the return yet. So broken items and no refund = NOT HAPPY..

It's cheaper at buy.com ...

THIS ISA VERY GOOD SHOWER RADIO/MIRROR/CD PLAYER... IT IS TRUELY THE BEST FOR ITS PRICE HANDS DOWN..ALL THE OTHER CHEAPER SHOWER RADIOS ARE POINTLESS AND NOT WORTH YOUR TIME NEVERTHELESS YOUR MONEY. IT IS HARD TO GET A CLEAR STATION IN THE SHOWER BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE DIGITAL TUNNING, SO YOU WILL BE LIMITED TO MAYBE 5 FM STATIONS. THE MIRROR LIVES UP TO ITS MEANING OF FOGLESS. I HAVE NOT USED THE CD PLAYER BECAUSE I CAN SEE SOME WATER GETS INSIDE WHEN THERE IS A CONSTANT STREAM OF WATER HITTING THE RADIO. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU HANG IT WITH THE CORD PROVIDED BEHIND YOUR SHOWER HEAD. IT ALSO COMES WITH THE NECESSARY SCREWS TO FASTEN IT TO THE WALL (I WOULD NEVER DO THAT BECAUSE I AM NOT THAT HANDY TO MAKE HOLES IN CERAMIC TILES)...SO IN CONCLUSION THIS IS A MUST HAVE AND DON'T LOOK FURTHER UNLESS YOU WANT TO SPEND $85-$120 AT BROOKSTONE OR SHARPER IMAGE.

The review above states you can split the signal of the sat and hook up multiple radios. This is incorrect as I just learned. TERK says you can not split the sat signal. This is made for the TERK SIR 3 Antenna's and the old style Dual input receivers. It will not match up with the SIR-EXT50 cables either.

This item can also be used to split the Sirius signal off of one antenna into two recivers in your home. You'll need two 50 feet extension wires from TERK SIR-EXT50 one for each of the splitter ends. Just plug the antenna wire into the single side, then out of both the others comes a split signal. The signal is not lowered in quality. For those of us who have 2 Sirius receivers in the house, this saves on having two antennas.

I know the directions on the container say it's for the older receivers. However it DOES work! This splitter is set for the same frequency of Sirius, and WILL work. Trust me. The "higherups" would rather you purchase an antenna for each receiver, but you don't have to. Don't say it won't work until you actually try it. I have had mine one TERK SIR-6 antenna split into one Sportster Replay 2 (previously a PNP2) and a PNP3 for for over a year now. If it cannot be done, why have I been splitting my sirius signal with no problems?
