Wow, super nice!No dead pixels, brain-dead setup and clean crisp picture.
The color of the monitor was spot on out of the box using one of the pre-sets.
I fired up the Color-Magic software that it came packaged with...But then thought "Why fiddle"? It looked great as it was. I can see how people can get all screwed up by messing with the colors too much (Did that when I got my TV). The interface for Color-Magic is not the most intuitive when it comes to adjusting the color. "Close eyes half way and adjust inner-squares to match the outside" Sounds easy but if you saw it, you'd know what I mean.
The only adjustments I did were, brightness (you need sunglasses with the default setting), sharpness and contrast.
It does NOT come with a DVI-D cable, just an old analog RGB cable...If your video card supports it, use a DVI-D cable. Digital display + Digital Cable + Digital output from video card= Niiiccce! It can run in analog mode but then...well you know.
Don't spend $60 on a DVI-D cable...Go to Newegg.com and get a 6' one for $12.95 (at time of this writing). Also, the monitor takes a male-end cable, check your card to be sure what cable end it needs (most likely male too). A male-male cable is what worked for my setup.
Been doing some gaming on it and let me just say that things never looked better. Super sharp and crisp images and with a 8MS....no ghosting (as some CRT loyalists will try to convince you of).
So all said and done...
Pros
1. Uses half the electricity of a CRT
2. MUCH smaller footprint than a CRT (more room on my desk now!)
3. Almost zero heat out-put compared to CRTs...I'm gonna love that come summer
4. Less eye strain and headaches
5. Better picture, IMHO.
Cons
1. The base is limited in adjustability.
2. Doesn't come with a DVI-D cable.
3. Three hours cleaning the computer desk/room to make way for it.
4. Trying to pawn off your old CRT.
So yeah, this is a nice monitor but keep in mind that I'm running it on a Geforce TI4600 128MB card. Yeah, it's not a high-end SLI PCI Express blah blah blah card, but it's a respectably good gaming card no matter what the snobs say. That being said, your quality of picture may not be as nice if you are using an old on-board video output or an ancient video card. Not that it's going to be bad, you just might not rave over it. You can get a descent video card for under a hundred dollars, just stick with Nvidia and you can't go wrong.
I would have given it 5 stars if made toast...But you can't have every thing. *Shrugs*
Great DisplayFirst off let me say that reviewer J. Burke is either clueless or got a bad monitor. I love mine. The colors are clear and bright and image is clear and smooth in games like Battlefield 2. Text looks great too, as I am a web designer and programmer and look at code often. I also have the 930B at work which is also a very good LCD display. Overall, I think Samsung is top notch. Between work and home I've been around 8 Samsung LCD's and not a single one had a bad pixel. My only complaint is that samsung needs to stop being cheap-skates and include a DVI cable in the box.
Wonderful 19" LCD MonitorI can't help not writing a review after reading the previous 1-star review. I bought this one during Christmas sales. I love it right away after I plugged it in. I used a eVGA 6200 graphics card with DVI output. I don't need to adjust any color settings and it already looks gorgeous. The resolution is so sharp and colors are so vivid. I love the Magic Color button which allows you to choose from a list of preset color settings. Very easy to use. I usually choose a brighter setting in the morning and a dimmer one at night. I use a Dell 1905FP at work and I have to admit that 940B is a better monitor than 1905FP. And cheaper too. The only disadvantage is that 1905FP has a very nice height-adjustable stand. The one coming with the 940B looks a bit cheap, but functional. I'm looking foward to buying a wall-mount LCD stand for my 940B :) To make it more convincing to you, I want to tell you that I love this monitor so much that I already bought a 2nd one for my wife. And you can guess her reaction :)

Lame tuner, way too hotIt works ok for what it is, but it has some problems that are just too big to ignore.
1) It crashes on nVidia motherboards (nForce3) which is a terrible prize.
2) Gets way too hot - this thing isn't even touchable if you use it for a couple hours.
3) Low quality signal - just doesn't look very good.
If you need something basic and don't mind crappy quality, I guess this would be a good buy but I really regret it. Doesn't work with Media Center Edition either.

Could be betterThis thing was easy to install, but it doesn't do everything it says. The touted scheduled recording function doesn't work. However, I discovered I could go through the tv listings manually and click "record" on the ones I wanted; then my shows recorded fine.
For some unknown reason, this thing doesn't track all the television stations available to me, and it doesn't give me the chance to choose the stations I want to pick up (or remove), even though that's something the manual promises. I'd like to delete some of the shows I've recorded, but I still have no idea where to look on my hard drive to PERMANENTLY delete them.
The manual is only minimally helpful. The website is even less helpful. Don't get this thing unless you're a never-say-die sort of person. You're pretty much on your own. I wouldn't buy this brand again.

Please try the thing out first before you bash itFirst and Foremost when you buy a product for the computer you never ever use the software they give you. why becuase it sux and there is something always better out there. so with this tv tuner that works absolutely great for me you use a program called dscaler. I play my Playstation 2 on my laptop with no delay wat so ever. Sure the picture isn't as good as tv but many tv tuners are like that. my only problem with this is it does't have and out to a tv so you can watch tv on your tv and record a nother channel on your laptop or pc computer. So before you try something out and only use the software provided and start bashing it, please do some research first and find out the real capabilities of the item.

Careful if you have Magnavox 20MF605T/17 20"I bought this mount to fix my Magnavox 20MF605T/17 20" to a concrete wall. The mount was very easy to install.
It is important to note that the Magnavox TV's stand cannot be removed, instead it folds back 90 degrees, and the wall mount's arm attaches to the bottom of the folded-back base, instead of the back of the tv.
This implies that the center of gravity of the TV is further away from the mount than it would be if you could attach both things together without the TV's base, because the distance said base adds acts like a lever.
So I hooked everything up, and by next morning, my tv had swayed all the way down, because the mechanism that controls this up-down sway could not handle the weight of the tv under the described circumstances (the base of the tv is a lever that acts upon the up-down sway mechanism).
No damage was done, but even when tightened with pliers, the mechanism that controls the up-down sway wouldn't hold, and the tv would instantly tilt all the way down.
The problem was solved with superglue. The tv allows me to control the up-down sway using its own base. This was 2 weeks a go and the superglue doesn't budge, even when pressed hard.

too much money for what you getIts a "cheap" solution to computers without TV out, but the signal is crappy and noise sometimes. The power cable (USB) is clunky and I think this device is poorly made. Better buy a PCI video card with TV OUT if you're limited by hardware, they're awesome for this purpose.
As good as advertisedProduct does exactly what is says it does on the description. If you want to utilize your television set to watch movies from your computer, this product will certainly do the job.
Great Help for a New TeacherI purchased this several months ago and have been very pleased with its performance. The seller sent it promptly and it was in excellent condition.

Color display problem and Electronic HumThis TV has the color display problem, there is an abnormal spot of red color on the lower left corner of the TV and an abnormal spot of green color on the lower right corner of the TV. I discovered it when I connect it to my dvd player, where dvd player itself has no problem. It supposes to show me a blue screen with dvd player's brand name on it, but it showed me these two additional abnormal color spot, which is so annoying. Especially when I watch movie with subtitle of white color on left right and all subtitle on the right side changed to light green color.
Also there is electronic hum when I turn on the TV, but it's not really a big deals.
It might be just this one has such problem, so I returned it as a defective unit.

Exactly as advertisedCompact, efficient, relatively cheap. Who needs cover art and jewel cases anyway?
excellent productI bought one from Staples several months ago. I absolutely love it - easy to flip through, and the travel wallet is so convenient to grab a few movies to bring along on a trip. It looks good, easy to open and use, and easy to take movies with you. I am buying another one!
Atlantic CD Storage CylinderI purchased this about a week ago and it has definately helped me organize my CD's I use in and around my computer. It fits in the hutch on top of my desk with about 6 inches to spare. It feels and appears to be extremely well-made. The "lid" opens quite easily and quickly. It is stackable with other CD Cylinders of the same size/capacity. It comes with about 5 tabs to organize CD's by any grouping you decide. I am very pleased with this product and see it as a solid buy if you're looking to organize your CD collection. This also came with a wallet that you can put the detatchable sleeves from the canister into if you're looking to take some CD's with you. Great buy!
Price. I got this from Circuit City for $1100. This is after I inadvertantly put them at war with Video Only next door, who I had preordered this same set from but they were unable to get for me in time for the NBA finals. At any rate, I got it at cost. So no complaints there. But I was fully prepared to pay $1500 for this set. It is that good.
Setup. I had this thing out of the box, plugged in, and hooked up to an Xbox 360 in about 10 minutes. However, when I tried to auto-program the channels, this took nearly 20 minutes.
Picture Quality. DVDs look amazing on this thing. XBox 360 screams on this and is getting arguably as good or better a picture than I was getting with it hooked up to a CRT computer monitor. Response time is excellant (6ms), no artifacts that I can tell on very fast moving racing games (PGR3) or credits rolling at the end of movies. Out of the box the set does tend to push red a little bit, but mostly it looks great and needs little adjustment.
Cons (nitpicking mostly):
Remote. It sucks. That's all I can say really. It just isn't laid out very wel. I've replaced it with a Logitech Universal remote so it sits in a drawer.
Design. Removable speakers would have been nice (see sound) and the shiny portion of the bezel is a little distracting, but overall it's a nice looking set.
PC input. There isn't any. Though you do have two HDMI inputs and you can purchase assorted cables and connectors for DVI, I would have liked to see this included with split screen.
Sound. Not great. Not even good really, especially for what is supposed to be a $1500 tv. But most people have surround anyway, so I guess it isn't a deal breaker. I personally don't care for the surround because I live in an apartment with thin walls and I don't want to bug my neighbors.
Stand. It lacks swivel and tilt. Not a biggy to me really, but it may be to you.
